Once again East Coast Heritage Rail participated in the annual Transport Heritage Expo. Over the 3 days of the October long weekend ECHR operated a total of 6 trips on the Botany Freight Lines on behalf of Transport Heritage NSW. Passengers were treated to a behind the scenes view of metropolitan freight only lines not normally accessible to the public. These trips always prove popular with passengers and all trips were well patronised.
The annual Transport Heritage Expo features historic trains, buses, trams, heritage vessels on Sydney Harbour, special experiences, displays and family-friendly activities across the city. The Expo will return in 2027 on 2-4 October.
